Catch That Won India The T20 World Cup, Suryakumar Yadav’s Legendary Grab Will Go Down In Folklore

Suryakumar Yadav won India the T20 World Cup 2024, not with the bat, but with the most crucial catch of the match in the final. His stunning grab, which will go down in folklore, was the key moment that sealed the victory for India.

In the final showdown against South Africa at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, India defended a total of 176 runs and took four quick wickets to lift the T20 World Cup for the second time.

India edged out South Africa by seven runs in a heart-stopping final to claim the Twenty20 World Cup at Kensington Oval.

Opting to bat on a dry surface, the 2007 champions India overcame a top-order collapse to post a competitive 176-7. Virat Kohli (76) struck his first fifty of this World Cup, and Axar Patel contributed a crucial 47 to help India to a healthy total.

Anrich Nortje and Keshav Maharaj each claimed two wickets for South Africa.

The Proteas experienced a top-order collapse of their own, but Quinton de Kock (39) and Tristan Stubbs (31) steadied their chase. Heinrich Klaasen (52) then launched a spectacular counter-attack, but India’s impeccable death-overs bowling restricted South Africa to 169-8.
