Sachin Tendulkar Gets Emotional While Paying Final Respects To Asha Bhosle

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar grew visibly emotional while paying his final respects to iconic singer Asha Bhosle, who was laid to rest with full state honours on Monday.

Tendulkar arrived early with his wife, Anjali Tendulkar, to stand beside the grieving family. He shared a deeply personal bond with the singer and regarded her as a maternal figure.

Observers noted his visible distress during the final rites, reflecting the profound loss.

Authorities honoured Bhosle’s immense contribution to Indian music by draping her mortal remains in the national flag.

The Mumbai Police ceremonial band offered a final salute, marking the close of a distinguished career spanning more than eight decades.

In a personal tribute, organisers dressed the singer in a blue saree, a colour she cherished and frequently wore in public. This detail added a poignant touch to the solemn proceedings.

Tendulkar’s relationship with Bhosle extended beyond admiration. It reflected mutual respect and familial warmth.

Over the years, Asha Bhosle had praised his humility and values, treating him as family rather than a sporting icon. Her final public appearance occurred earlier this year at the wedding of Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, on March 5.

Asha Bhosle interacted warmly with guests, marking her last public engagement before her brief illness.

Following her passing, Tendulkar shared a heartfelt message, describing the loss as immeasurable and praising her timeless musical legacy.

Tributes poured in nationwide. Tendulkar’s emotional farewell reflected a bond that transcended professions, rooted in affection, respect, and shared legacy.
