Rahane, Raghuvanshi Star As KKR Beat SRH By 7 Wickets In IPL 2026

Kolkata Knight Riders registered a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 45th match of IPL 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday.

After winning the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad elected to bat first but were dismissed for 165 runs in 19 overs. Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head provided a quick start, adding 44 runs in 22 deliveries.

Abhishek scored 15 runs off 10 balls before departing, while Travis Head anchored the innings with a fluent knock. He built a 61-run stand with Ishan Kishan, taking the total beyond 100.

Head struck 61 runs off 28 balls, including three sixes and nine fours, while Kishan contributed 42 runs off 29 balls.

For the Kolkata Knight Riders, Varun Chakravarthy led the bowling attack with three wickets.

Sunil Narine and Kartik Tyagi claimed two wickets each, while Vaibhav Arora, Cameron Green, and Anukul Roy picked up one wicket apiece.

In reply, KKR chased down the target in 18.2 overs with a composed batting effort. Captain Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen gave the side a strong start, adding 49 runs in four overs.

Allen scored a brisk 29 runs off 13 balls before getting dismissed. Rahane then stitched an 84-run partnership with Angkrish Raghuvanshi, steering the team towards victory.

Rahane made 43 runs off 36 balls, while Raghuvanshi impressed with 59 runs off 47 deliveries, including two sixes and five fours.

Rinku Singh remained unbeaten on 22, alongside Cameron Green, as KKR completed the chase with ease. For SRH, Pat Cummins, Shivang Kumar, and Sakib Hussain took one wicket each.

With this win, Kolkata Knight Riders moved to eighth place with three victories in nine matches, while Sunrisers Hyderabad remained third despite the defeat.
