PM Modi Interacts With Indian Asiad Contingent

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has interacted with the Indian contingent who took part in the recently concluded Asian Games at Major Dhyan Chand stadium in the capital. India finished the continental games winning 28 gold and a total of 107 medals. This is the only occasion when India completed a total of 100 plus medals. Be it Olympics or Asiad.

PM Modi has congratulated the Indian contingent on behalf of entire citizens and said that the entire nation is very proud and delighted with the success of these athletes. He has lauded the courage and determination put in by the athletes. Not only these athletes, the coaches and the supporting staff were also lauded. Not to forget the families of those athletes. PM Modi didn’t forget to highlight the sacrifices put in by those families.

Among Indian success, the women athletes had a greater role to play. Prime Minister did not forget to laud the Indian daughters either. “The daughters of India were not ready to settle for anything less than no. 1 in the track and field events”, he said.

Highlighting his vision of New India he said, “New India never stops quitting until the final whistle blows and the winners are decided.”
