NZ Word Cup Squard
The 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is one of the most anticipated events in cricket, and the entire sport is buzzing with excitement. New Zealand Cricket (NZC), which joined in and added to the excitement by revealing their powerful 15-member squad for the 2017 World Cup, joined many other teams in having previously revealed their teams for the massive ICC event in India.
After a spectacular comeback from injuries, Kane Williamson will once again serve as the squad’s captain for the New Zealand cricket team. Williamson’s comeback is a major boost to the team’s morale because of how important his leadership and batting prowess have been to New Zealand’s success in previous years.
Mark Chapman, who won his berth on the team with a string of strong showings in the white ball format, is one of the significant additions. He is an invaluable asset for New Zealand’s World Cup campaign because of his capacity to control the middle order and provide contributions with both bat and ball.
Rachin Ravindra, a 23-year-old all-rounder who bowls spin, is another intriguing addition to the team. Selectors have taken notice of his recent impressive displays in limited-overs cricket, and his spin bowling adds a new dimension to the game.

While some players’ inclusion was a source of joy, some difficult choices had to be made. The team management chose Tom Latham as the only wicketkeeper in the squad, leaving young top-order batsman Finn Allen and backup wicketkeeper Tim Seifert on the outside looking in. Fast bowler Adam Milne also didn’t make the World Cup roster because of a hamstring injury he recently sustained while on New Zealand’s tour of England.
