Anant Ambani and Mukesh Ambani
Reliance Foundation, under the leadership of Director Anant Ambani, has contributed 25 crore rupees to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to assist those affected by the floods in Uttarakhand. This generous donation comes as heavy rains and floods have displaced thousands of people in the state, causing significant damage to crops and properties.
Anant Ambani expressed a deep connection with the people of Uttarakhand, stating that Reliance Industries has been actively involved in addressing the concerns of the people for the past decade. He emphasized their commitment to continue supporting Uttarakhand’s development in every possible way.
Reliance Group has been working tirelessly in collaboration with the government and various social organizations to improve the lives of the people in the state. Their efforts range from disaster relief and rescue operations to providing essential amenities for shelter and sustenance during times of crisis. Recently, Reliance Group contributed to the creation of nearly five lakh cubic meters of water storage capacity in approximately 90 villages, addressing water scarcity issues for farming and drinking.
Moreover, Reliance Group has extended healthcare services to remote hilly regions, training over 1500 women and empowering around 1200 representatives of gram panchayats in community development initiatives.
It’s worth mentioning that in 2020, Anant Ambani had donated five crore rupees to the Char Dham Devasthanam Board to help recover from the losses incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, has also made substantial donations amounting to millions for the betterment of Uttarakhand.
