IPL 2026: KL Rahul’s Explosive Fifty Powers Delhi Capitals To 203 Against KKR

Delhi Capitals delivered a solid batting performance to set a target of 204 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders in their IPL 2026 clash at Eden Gardens.

Although both sides were already out of playoff contention, they remained determined to end their campaigns positively.

After losing the toss, Delhi Capitals stepped in to bat first and reached 203/5 in their allotted overs. The side lost an early wicket within the first five overs when Abishek Porel departed after scoring 22 off 18 balls, including four boundaries.

Sahil Parakh then partnered with KL Rahul to stabilise the innings. The duo added 47 runs for the second wicket in quick time, taking the total to 87. Parakh contributed 24 runs off 17 balls before heading back to the pavilion.

Captain Axar Patel joined Rahul at the crease and accelerated the scoring. The pair stitched together a 38-run partnership, pushing the score past 120.

Rahul led from the front with a fluent innings of 60 runs off just 30 deliveries, striking four sixes and five boundaries. His aggressive approach laid the foundation for a competitive total.

Following Rahul’s dismissal, Axar Patel combined with David Miller to add 41 runs for the fourth wicket.

Miller played a brisk knock of 28 off 19 balls, including three sixes.

In the final overs, Ashutosh Sharma and Miller added quick runs, contributing a 35-run stand for the fifth wicket. Ashutosh remained unbeaten on 18, ensuring Delhi crossed the 200-run mark comfortably.

Among the bowlers, Saurabh Dubey stood out by picking up two wickets. Anukul Roy, Sunil Narine, and Varun Chakaravarthy chipped in with one wicket each.

Kolkata Knight Riders featured Ajinkya Rahane (captain), Manish Pandey, Cameron Green, Rovman Powell, Rinku Singh, Tejasvi Dahya (wicketkeeper), Anukul Roy, Sunil Narine, Saurabh Dubey, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Kartik Tyagi.

Delhi Capitals fielded KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Abishek Porel, Sahil Parakh, Tristan Stubbs, David Miller, Axar Patel (captain), Ashutosh Sharma, Madhav Tiwari, Aukib Nabi Dar, Mitchell Starc, and Lungi Ngidi.
