Manu Bhaker Creates Olympic History
Manu Bhaker opened India’s medal tally at the Olympics by clinching bronze in the women’s individual 10m air pistol event.

Her achievement made her the first-ever woman shooter from India to win an Olympic medal. Bhaker continued her stellar run by partnering with Sarabjot Singh to secure another bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, marking India’s first-ever shooting team medal at the Olympics.

Gukesh Crowned Youngest World Chess Champion
Indian chess prodigy Gukesh etched his name in history by defeating China’s Ding Liren in the 14th and final game of the FIDE World Championship in Singapore.

The intense championship, tied at 6.5-6.5, saw Gukesh deliver a decisive performance to win 7.5-6.5, making him the youngest world chess champion at 18. He became only the second Indian to achieve this feat, following in the footsteps of Viswanathan Anand.

Praveen Kumar Shines At The Paralympics
Para-athlete Praveen Kumar brought glory to India by winning gold in the men’s high jump T64 event at the 2024 Paralympics. His remarkable performance added another feather to India’s sporting achievements.

Harmanpreet Singh Leads Hockey Team To Olympic Bronze
Harmanpreet Singh captained India’s men’s hockey team to a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, replicating the success of the Tokyo Olympics where he also played a pivotal role in securing a bronze. Singh’s consistent excellence earned him a nomination for the FIH Player of the Year award.

The year 2024 will be remembered as a landmark for Indian sports, with athletes breaking records and setting new standards of excellence on the global stage.
