IND vs PAK
Intermittent rain forced the Asia Cup Super 4 match between India and Pakistan to be postponed to a reserve day on Sunday after their group encounter was canceled. The R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo was hit hard by rain as India reached 147 for two in 24.1 overs. After that, the rain ceased, but the wet outfield caused a delay in play. The main cause was a few moist spots on the ground. In addition to employing sponges, the grounds crew also employed fans to dry the spots. But before play could continue, a torrential downpour struck once more, forcing the game to be postponed until Monday.
While the reserve day was preserved as a backup for the India vs. Pakistan match, the weather forecast for Monday doesn’t look very promising either. Play will continue at 3 IST the next day. Here is an hourly weather forecast for Colombo before the game resumes:
At 2 p.m., the temperature in Colombo was 27 degrees Celsius, with a 49 percent chance of rain.

Due to the reserve day being activated, Tuesday’s Super Four match between India and Sri Lanka will take place less than 24 hours after the Pakistan game. Before the rain intervened, openers Rohit Sharma (56) and Shubman Gill (58) each scored a superb half-century, leaving Virat Kohli and KL Rahul batting on 8 and 17, respectively.
