Australian cricketer David Warner expressed his well wishes to the people of India following the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Ceremony on Monday. Taking to social media, Warner shared a special post on his Instagram account, which quickly gained viral attention. In his post, he wrote, “Jai Sri Ram INDIA,” accompanied by a picture of Lord Ram.
Joining in the celebrations, South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj also shared a video on social media to commemorate the occasion. Maharaj extended his best wishes to Mahesh Kumar, Consul General of India in Johannesburg, and the entire Indian community in South Africa for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He expressed hope that the temple would bring peace, harmony, and spiritual enlightenment to everyone.
Interestingly, Warner, who recently retired from Test cricket, has questioned the decision of Australia’s cricket board to impose a lifetime ‘leadership’ ban on him. Warner finds the decision puzzling, especially considering that he will be eligible to coach Australia in the future. The 36-year-old cricketer had previously faced consequences for his involvement in the ball-tampering scandal during the South Africa tour in 2018. As a result, he was banned from captaining Australia and suspended from cricket for a year, alongside then-captain Steve Smith and batter Cameron Bancroft, due to their role in altering the conditions of the ball during the Cape Town Test.
