Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com injects humor into India’s World Cup defeat

On Sunday, Indian cricket fans throughout the globe were in for a serious heartache. Australia defeated India in the last match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, capping an incredible run of victories in all games and atop the table. India set a goal of 241 for Australia, who won the toss and elected to play first. For the sixth time, the Australians won the World Cup. The nation was stunned when the Australians defeated the Indians by six wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Anupam Mittal, the founder of Shaadi.com, made a statement that stood out among the other cricket enthusiasts amidst the wave of melancholy that has gripped the sport. “Adding a touch of wit and humor to the otherwise depressing situation”, Shark Tank India judge stated “World Cup loss se one thing has become clear. Match fixing in India happens only @ShaadiDotCom.”
