Ayodhya is buzzing with religious enthusiasm in anticipation of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir. The holy town is adorned with elaborate decorations, and the grand temple is illuminated with special lights, creating a spectacular ambiance.
As the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya approaches, officials announced that the temple has been embellished with an abundance of “luxuriant floral arrangements” and radiant lights in preparation for this historic event, capturing global attention. On Saturday (January 20), it was revealed that the entire temple town is immersed in religious fervor, known locally as “Ayodhya Rammay ho rahi hai.”
A temple insider shared that a substantial supply of natural flowers, chosen for their ability to withstand the winter, has been used to adorn the sacred structure. Special floral designs have been meticulously crafted to enhance the temple’s appearance for the momentous occasion.
“These flowers, being natural, are expected to remain fresh during the consecration ceremony. The fragrance and aesthetic beauty of these vibrant blooms add layer of divinity to the temple,” explained a source closely associated with the temple.
Teams specializing in temple decoration, encompassing floral arrangements and lighting tasks, collaborate seamlessly under the guidance of trust officials.
As per reports, the exterior lighting, designed with a diya theme, seeks to impart a traditional ambiance and accentuate the temple’s intricate features.
The inner sanctum, or garbh griha, will feature traditional diyas, providing a soft illumination that brings out the architectural nuances. The external illumination is scheduled to commence in the evening, as per the source.
On Thursday afternoon, the newly crafted 51-inch idol of Ram Lalla, skillfully carved by sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, was ceremoniously placed within the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. Social media later circulated the first image of the idol, shrouded with a cloth covering its eyes.
On January 22, the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony is scheduled to take place, with notable figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Mukesh Ambani, and Gautam Adani in attendance. The temple entrance will be located on the east side, while the exit will be on the south side.
The temple structure will consist of three stories (G+2), with visitors ascending 32 steps from the eastern side to reach the main temple. Built in the traditional Nagara style, the temple complex will span 380 feet in the east-west direction, 250 feet in width, and stand 161 feet tall. Each floor will be 20 feet high, featuring a total of 392 pillars and 44 gates.
