Agni-5 Missile: India’s most powerful missile Agni-5 (Agni-5 ICBM) was successfully tested amid skirmishes with Chinese troops in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. For the first time the missile was fired in its full range. This missile destroyed its target by going 5500 kilometers away. It has been jointly built by DRDO and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL). The special thing is that the range of this missile is so much that many countries including China-Pakistan fear that their entire area is in its JD.
This testing has proved the ability to increase the range of Agni-5 missile if needed. The weight of Agni-5 missile is 50 thousand kg and it is 17.5 meters long. Its diameter is 2 meters. A nuclear weapon weighing 1500 kg can be fitted on top of this missile. It has three stage rocket boosters that fly with solid fuel. Its speed is 24 times more than the speed of sound. Or in other words, it can cover a distance of 8.16 kilometers in a second.

Agni-5 missile is equipped with Ring Laser Gyroscope Inertial Navigation System, GPS, NavIC Satellite Guidance System. Agni-5 missile can hit the target accurately. Even if the target moves from its place to 10 to 80 meters, the missile will destroy it.
The Indian arsenal of the Agni series includes Agni-1 with a range of 700 km, Agni-2 with a range of 2,000 km, Agni-3 with a range of 2500 km and Agni-4 with a range of more than 3500 km, which will blow the senses of the enemies. His specialty is his speed and ability to shoot accurately. After the Agni-5 test, the Ministry of Defense said that it reaffirmed India’s policy of ‘Credible Minimum Deterrence’.
