The nearest airport is Silchar Airport, located around 90 km from Jatinga. Haflong Railway Station, approximately 9 km away, is the closest railhead. Taxis and local transport are readily available from Haflong to the village.

The ideal time to visit Jatinga is between September and November, when weather conditions are most favourable for witnessing the rare bird phenomenon.
