Wedding
Indian weddings are large and lavish affairs. The thumping sounds of dhol are so powerful during the celebrations that almost no one can resist shaking a leg to it. Now, a South Korean groom got a taste of an Indian wedding when ‘baraatis’ forced him to dance to Punjabi ‘boli’.
User ‘currynkimchi’ published a video of the South Korean groom, Jimin, dancing to a ‘boli’ sung by a wedding guest during his Indian wedding.
In the video, Jimin, clad in a traditional sherwani is seen riding a horse while a guy sings the Punjabi ‘boli’ ‘Baari barsi khatan gya si’. The man next to him finished reciting his Punjabi couplets and he is then seen dancing to the dhol beats.
Instagram User currynkimchi captioned, “Jimin oppa just knew he had to dance after it! Wish I could attend my baraat too 🤣 Boli partner @amannoberoi shukria char chand lagane ko! PS: Special thanks to my office colleagues for the shor”.
Just a few days have passed since the video was posted, and already it has received more than 4 million views and 513,000 likes. Several readers praised the South Korean groom for embracing his wife’s culture in the comment section.
Jimin, a South Korean groom, wed Shivangi, an Indian woman. On Instagram, the couple shared several videos from their wedding. The duo may also be seen dancing to Psy’s popular Korean song ‘Gangnam Style’ in another video.
