People in New York City were treated to a spectacular drone performance in the shape of the Statue of Liberty.
The drone performance took place before the Macy’s fireworks extravaganza commemorating the United States 247th independence day. According to media sources, Macy’s hosted its first-ever drone display.
Several drone show videos were shared on the internet. Spectators can be seen cheering as 500 drones build the shape of the Statue of Liberty on the East River.
On July 4, 2023, the United States celebrated its 247th independence day.
Meanwhile, The New York Post said that New Yorkers were in amazement Tuesday night when Macy’s 47th annual Fourth of July fireworks display lit up the sky in a breathtaking display of colors.
Crowds gathered on both sides of the East River to watch the breathtaking 25-minute display, which featured 60,000 shells exploding into the night sky to commemorate Independence Day.
Many who watched from Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City were particularly pleased by the golden display of pyrotechnics celebrating Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock ‘N Roll’, who died in May at the age of 83.
The Macy’s extravaganza featured Turner’s song ‘The Best’ as thousands of shells threw gold hues and cascading shimmer throughout the night sky.
On this historic day, US authorities and residents remember the sacrifices made by the nation’s revolutionaries in the fight for independence from the British in 1776, as well as the efforts of US soldiers and military in protecting the country.
