Dr. Manoj Agrawal, the chief medical officer (CMO), said that patients who tested positive are recovering at home.

He stated that in order to stop the dengue virus from spreading, teams from the municipal corporation and the health department worked together to do larvicidal and fogging operations in different parts of the district.

Also, the public was taught the value of covering water-filled pots and tanks, wearing full-sleeve clothing, emptying and cleaning coolers once a week before refilling them, and not letting water build up outside their homes.

In the last thirty days, the city has reported one dengue-related death and three new cases of the disease per two hours.

According to health department officials, wealthy areas like Gomti Nagar, Indiranagar, and Aliganj are reporting the highest number of cases.

According to experts, this state of affairs is probably going to last until mid-November.

Data from the health department indicates that at least 30 persons contract dengue every day, a 42 percent rise over the average daily infection rate of 21 in September, the month when the disease surged rapidly.

Major government hospitals including Balrampur, Lokbandhu, and SPM Civil are seeing a surge in fever patients seeking treatment in their outpatient departments, pushing their dengue wards to capacity.
