PM Modi is present at a special celebration held at the Statue of Unity's location in Kevadia, Gujarat.
On Tuesday, the nation was wished a happy birthday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in honor of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. In remembrance of Sardar Patel’s national service, Prime Minister Modi stated that the citizens are still guided by his dedication to national integration.
We honor Sardar Patel’s unwavering spirit, his visionary leadership, and the amazing dedication with which he fashioned our country’s destiny on this Jayanti. His dedication to national integration serves as our ongoing inspiration. On X (previously Twitter), PM Modi tweeted, “We are forever indebted to his service.”
On the occasion of Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary, the Prime Minister visited a daredevil stunts event hosted by women members of the CRPF at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat. Notably, Sardar Patel—who is regarded as the CRPF’s founder—had visions that were followed in the formation of the central force.
At the event, artists from villages near the border between China and India performed.
At a special ceremony conducted at Patel Chowk in New Delhi, dignitaries including President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented flowers to the Sardar Patel statue.
The national capital’s Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium serves as the starting point for Shah’s “Run for Unity” demonstration, which commemorates the birth anniversary and is known as “Rashtriya Ekta Divas.” A Unity oath was said after the flagging off.
Recalling Sardar Patel’s role in bringing the nation together, Amit Shah asserted that the country’s first Home Minister is the cause of India’s unity. Shah mentioned in the speech how Sardar Patel tried to unite all the principalities that the British had divided during India’s independence.
Union defense minister Rajnath Singh made an announcement on PM Modi’s potential launch of “Mera Yuva Bharat” at the “Run for Unity” rally in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
“PM Modi is set to launch ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ programme, wherein youth will get the opportunity and the stage to participate in the work of nation building,” he stated during his speech.
On Tuesday, the anniversary of his birth, former Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel received tributes from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
In honor of the Iron Man on the 148th anniversary of his birth, the President of the Congress stated that Sardar Patel’s integrity and togetherness bound the entire nation.
“Tributes to the Iron Man of India, the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister, former Congress President and our source of inspiration, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ji on his birth anniversary, who united the entire country in the thread of unity and integrity,” Kharge said on X (formerly known as Twitter).
