Anant Singh Granted Bail By Patna HC In Dularchand Yadav Murder Case

Mokama strongman and MLA Anant Singh has been granted bail by the Patna High Court in connection with the Dularchand Yadav murder case. He had been lodged in Beur Jail in Patna while facing charges in the case.

Following the court’s decision, Singh is expected to be released on Friday, March 20, 2026, or Saturday, March 21, 2026.

Once the necessary legal and administrative procedures are completed, he is likely to return to his constituency. He is also expected to meet his supporters.

Earlier, during the Rajya Sabha elections, Anant Singh was temporarily brought out of jail to cast his vote. During that time, he made a notable statement indicating that his family members would carry forward his political legacy in the future.

The murder of Dularchand Yadav occurred during the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, a politically sensitive period in the state.

Following the incident, Anant Singh was named as an accused in the case and subsequently taken into custody.

Despite being in jail, he contested the elections and emerged victorious, reflecting his continued influence in the Mokama constituency.

Before Anant Singh, his wife Neelam Devi had represented Mokama as an MLA. The family has maintained a strong political presence in the region.

Singh’s recent remarks suggest a continued role for his family in local politics.

With bail now granted, Singh’s release is expected to have political implications in Bihar, particularly in the run-up to future electoral contests. His return to public life may reinvigorate his support base and influence the political landscape in the region.
