Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the Uttar Pradesh government is making extensive preparations to beautify Prayagraj for Mahakumbh 2025. The government aims to offer a fragrant and vibrant welcome to millions of devotees. It has allocated a budget of Rs 7.55 crore for large-scale floral arrangements across the city.
City Adorned with Flower Gardens and Potted Plants
The beautification plan for Mahakumbh 2025 includes placing 26,225 flower pots filled with seasonal flowers throughout the city. Expansive flower beds will decorate key areas, offering vibrant colors that will captivate visitors. Decorative plants will also line the banks of the Ganga, creating a serene atmosphere.
Large-Scale Orders to Ensure Floral Charm
The government has placed large-scale orders for flowers and ornamental plants with nurseries in Ayodhya and Kashi. These plants will not only decorate the fairgrounds but also key locations in the city, including parks, intersections, roads, and the airport. Flower pots will line the streets, filling every corner of Prayagraj with color.
Popular flowers like roses, dahlias, marigolds, and jasmine are in high demand. The city will also feature decorative plants like Erica Palm, Peace Lily, and Bamboo to enhance its charm. This effort is part of a broader plan to beautify Prayagraj and leave a lasting impression on visitors from around the world.
