Raipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched the ‘Mahatari Vandan’ project in Chhattisgarh to provide financial assistance to women, saying that the top concern of the “double engine” government is women’s welfare. Addressing the gathering virtually in the BJP-ruled state, Modi said his administration has pledged to make three crore women in the country “Lakhpati Didi”. “It is a privilege that today I have got the opportunity to dedicate the Mahtari Vandan initiative, which aims to empower ‘Nari Shakti’.
We had promised to give Rs 1,000 per month to more than 70 lakh women under the scheme, and the BJP administration has now fulfilled that promise.” The first installment of Rs 655 crore was deposited into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries of the scheme. , he said.

“When mothers and sisters are empowered, the entire family becomes powerful. As a result, the welfare of mothers and sisters is the top priority of the BJP’s double engine administration (at the Center and in the state),” the Prime Minister said.
Additionally, he said, the BJP has promised happiness and prosperity, and the Chhattisgarh administration under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has started working on it.
