VP Radhakrishnan Hails PM Modi’s Record-Breaking Tenure

Vice President CP Radhakrishnan on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, describing the achievement as a historic milestone in the nation’s journey.

In a message posted on the social media platform X, the Vice President said the record represented far more than a lengthy tenure and reflected a transformative period in India’s development. He credited PM Modi’s leadership with driving progress across sectors, including economic growth, infrastructure development, technological advancement, social empowerment and India’s growing influence on the global stage.

VP Radhakrishnan said PM Modi improved the lives of millions of Indians through inclusive development and helped lift over 250 million people out of extreme poverty. He noted that PM Modi’s leadership had expanded opportunities and strengthened aspirations across the country.

The Vice President also praised the Prime Minister’s efforts to foster national confidence by celebrating India’s cultural heritage, honouring unsung heroes and promoting pride in the country’s civilisational identity.

VP Radhakrishnan praised PM Modi for promoting India’s cultural values and strengthening national pride through initiatives such as the Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam, the installation of the Sengol in Parliament and the repatriation of cultural artefacts. He said these efforts have celebrated India’s rich heritage while reinforcing national unity.

Calling PM Modi a defining leader of contemporary India, the Vice President said his vision and commitment to ‘Nation First’ have inspired confidence in the country’s future and wished him continued success as India advances towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
