Jayanta Mallabariuah - has good news for the people of Assam
Assam government will be providing grants of Rs 10,000 each to a total of 6,953 puja pandals across the state. This was stated by Minister Jayanta Mallabariuah after a cabinet meeting. Apart from those grants, foundation stones for 400 new school buildings, with 100 entirely new schools set to be established in the tea garden areas. The foundation stones will be laid between December 25, 2023 and January 10, 2024.

A sum of Rs 7 crores for each old school will be allocated for renovation. During the period when these foundation stones are to be laid, every cabinet ministers are to spend five days and nights in specific villages, chosen from different zones, to assess the practical implementation of welfare schemes.
Lands for 123 indigenous, landless families, with 105 of these families in Charaideo and 18 in Darrang, are to be provided. This initiative is a part of Mission Basundhara 2.0 and builds on the government’s efforts to provide housing security to landless families.
