UP 2027 Polls: Keshav Prasad Maurya Meets Amit Shah To Discuss BJP Preparations, Public Outreach

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi on Friday and discussed preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, organisational activities and public outreach on government welfare schemes.

After the meeting, Maurya said discussions focused on the BJP’s preparations for the 2027 polls and its stated objective of forming the government in Uttar Pradesh for a third consecutive term.

Maurya said BJP workers would conduct a special public outreach campaign across the state to take information about schemes and government initiatives to people’s homes. He said the campaign would focus particularly on benefits available to poor and underprivileged families through Central and state government programmes.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister said the outreach would communicate policies and programmes linked to the government’s goal of Viksit Bharat-2047.

Maurya said the party would strengthen its organisation and expand public outreach ahead of the elections. He highlighted pucca houses, health cover, Ujjwala, tap water, direct benefit transfers and infrastructure projects, saying these measures had benefited disadvantaged sections.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister claimed that the government had delivered initiatives that previous governments had not.

Maurya said India was moving towards greater economic strength and self-reliance while emphasising development and its global role. He further acknowledged Shah’s guidance and organisational experience, saying his suggestions would help shape the party’s strategy and strengthen coordination between the organisation and government.

The meeting comes amid wider organisational preparations by the BJP in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, with the party focusing on coordination between its government and organisational units.
