Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, took a sacred dip in the Triveni Sangam on Sunday, joining the millions of devotees who are participating in the spiritual festival of Maha Kumbh 2025. Alongside his family, Gadkari expressed immense joy and fulfillment after performing the ritual bath, seeking blessings from Mother Ganga for the welfare of all.
Upon arriving at Prayagraj Airport, Gadkari was warmly received by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who honored him with a shawl in a gesture of respect. This cordial reception marked the beginning of Gadkari’s spiritual journey at the Maha Kumbh, where he later made his way to the Triveni Sangam for the sacred dip.
Gadkari visibly impress by the meticulous arrangements made by the Uttar Pradesh government for Maha Kumbh 2025. He praised the Yogi government and local administration for their tireless efforts in ensuring that the massive event runs smoothly.
“The Uttar Pradesh government and local administration have put in immense hard work, which is clearly visible,” Gadkari remarked. He emphasized that organizing such a large-scale event flawlessly is no easy task, and credited the authorities for their commitment to making the event a success.

Describing the Maha Kumbh as a sacred festival that unites the nation in faith, Gadkari shared his personal connection to the event. He noted that devotees from his hometown, Nagpur, had traveled to Prayagraj in large numbers, drawn by the spiritual significance of the Maha Kumbh.
“This Mahasamagam embodies the faith of the entire nation,” he said. He also took a moment to pray for the welfare and prosperity of everyone, offering his heartfelt wishes for universal well-being.
Following the ritual bath, Gadkari shared his experience with his followers on social media, posting pictures and videos of his prayers and the sacred dip. On platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to bathe in the holy waters of the Sangam.
“Prayagraj… Har Har Gange! Today, I had the privilege of bathing and offering prayers at the holy Sangam during Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. I received the blessings of the sacred Maa Ganga,” he wrote in a post.
Accompanying Gadkari on his spiritual journey were Uttar Pradesh’s Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi and Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh. Together, they participated in the sacred rituals, further enhancing the sense of unity and spirituality surrounding the Maha Kumbh.
Gadkari’s visit highlighted the seamless collaboration between the state government and various authorities to make Maha Kumbh 2025 a grand success. His experience at the Sangam reflected not only his personal connection to the sacred event but also his deep appreciation for the efforts made by the Uttar Pradesh government in organizing such a large-scale religious and cultural gathering.
