Two individuals were apprehended during a joint search operation conducted by the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Larkipora area of Anantnag district, Jammu and Kashmir. Codenamed “OP LUKHBHAWAN,” the operation was initiated based on specific intelligence inputs received from relevant agencies. The collaborative effort took place overnight spanning Saturday and Sunday.
According to a statement by the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army, the operation yielded significant results, including the arrest of two suspected individuals. Alongside the arrests, authorities recovered a pistol, a hand grenade, an improvised explosive device (IED), and various other items indicative of potential warfare. Interrogations of the apprehended individuals are underway to gather further information.

Prior to this operation, on the preceding Saturday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in conjunction with security forces, successfully dismantled a terrorist module associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The operation resulted in the arrest of four terror associates, accompanied by the seizure of a substantial arsenal of weapons and ammunition from their possession.
The proactive measures undertaken by security forces underscore their ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region, combating the menace of terrorism and ensuring the safety of civilians. The coordinated operations reflect a concerted commitment to preempting potential threats and upholding law and order in Jammu and Kashmir.
