Ahead of the launch of Phase 1 of the Noida International Airport, traffic authorities have rolled out an extensive advisory to regulate vehicle movement and prevent congestion during Saturday’s high-profile event.
The plan, effective from 07:00 AM, outlines specific routes, diversions, and parking arrangements. It also includes provisions to ensure uninterrupted access for emergency services.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely inaugurate the airport at around noon in Jewar. The event is expected to draw large crowds and heightened security arrangements.
As part of the restrictions, goods vehicles, ranging from light to heavy, will not be permitted on major corridors such as the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway and Yamuna Expressway. The curbs will also apply to adjoining stretches.
Emergency vehicles, however, will be exempt from these curbs.
Traffic from Meerut and Ghaziabad will be redirected via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, exiting at Sirsa Toll before proceeding along designated routes towards the venue.
Vehicles travelling from Mathura and Aligarh will be instructed to exit at Jewar Cut and move through the Sabauta Underpass and Kishorpur Gate.
Similarly, those coming from Hapur and Bulandshahr will be diverted along the Jewar–Khurja route and granted entry via Parohi Gate.
Special arrangements have been made for dignitaries and VIPs. They will access the venue through a dedicated interchange on the Yamuna Expressway, with exclusive parking facilities in place.
Media personnel, along with police and administrative staff on duty, have been directed to enter through Kishorpur Gate.
Public transport and official buses will follow a separate route via Dayanantpur.
Commuters arriving from Noida and Greater Noida will be guided through service lanes and roundabouts. They will then enter through a temporary gate near Ranehra Police Post.
Two-wheelers and smaller vehicles, including those coming from Jewar town, will also be allowed through Kishorpur Gate.
Authorities have advised residents to adhere strictly to the traffic plan. They have also urged people to avoid non-essential travel near the venue to ensure smooth proceedings during the inauguration ceremony.
