‘Such Mass Movements Empower Our Nari Shakti’: PM Modi Hails Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’s Guinness World Records

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday commended the nationwide initiative Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family), describing it as a transformative effort to empower women and strengthen families across India.

He highlighted the campaign’s remarkable achievement in securing three Guinness World Records, recognising it as a reflection of the growing momentum in women’s health and empowerment.

Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “This is very commendable! Such mass movements add impetus to our women empowerment efforts and have a transformative impact on the lives of our Nari Shakti.”

Three Guinness World Records for Women’s Health Drive

The campaign earned three distinct Guinness titles:

  • The highest number of people registering for a healthcare platform in a single month, with more than 3.21 crore participants.
  • The most online registrations for breast cancer screening in one week, reaching over 9.94 lakh people.
  • The largest number of participants registering for vital signs screening at the state level within a week, exceeding 1.25 lakh individuals.

Launched by the Prime Minister, the campaign was held from 17 September to 2 October, aligning with Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month). It aimed to enhance the health and nutrition of women, adolescent girls, and children, while also promoting early detection of illnesses and improved access to healthcare services.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda praised the campaign’s success, saying that the three records reaffirmed India’s dedication to preventive and women-focused healthcare.

“A Record-Breaking Milestone for Women’s Health! India achieves three GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™️ titles under the nationwide #SwasthNariSashaktParivarAbhiyaan, reaffirming our commitment to preventive and women-centric healthcare,” he posted on X.

The campaign’s health impact has been extensive, including 1.78 crore hypertension screenings, 1.73 crore diabetes tests, 69.5 lakh oral cancer screenings, and 62.6 lakh antenatal check-ups.

Additionally, 1.43 crore vaccine doses administered, 1.51 crore anaemia tests conducted, and more than 85.9 lakh women screened for tuberculosis.

The drive also covered 10.2 lakh sickle cell disease screenings and reached over 2.14 crore participants through counselling and wellness sessions.

In a further boost to public health, the campaign registered more than 2.68 lakh Nikshay Mitras, supported by My Bharat volunteers, strengthening the nation’s ongoing fight against tuberculosis.
