PM Modi Unveils ‘Ram Rajya Se Rashtra’ Vision At Inauguration Of New Chhattisgarh Assembly

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday unveiled his vision of ‘Ram Rajya se Rashtra’ while inaugurating Chhattisgarh’s new Assembly complex in Nava Raipur.

Addressing the inaugural session on the state’s 25th Foundation Day, he called Lord Ram the ‘eternal soul of Chhattisgarh’ and described the state as the land of his maternal grandparents.

“Chhattisgarh is the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram,” he said, and explained that ‘Ram se Rashtra’ represents ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, a vision to build a nation free from poverty, disease, and discrimination. He emphasised that true governance ensures social justice and eliminates anti-human forces. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he affirmed that India is determined to defeat Naxalism.

PM Modi urged lawmakers to transform the Vidhan Sabha into a living model of Ram Rajya. “Every law, every debate, and every decision must serve farmers, women, tribals, and youth,” he said. “Let ‘Ram’ guide us from self to society, from state to nation.”

Drawing from tribal traditions like the Muria Darbar, he envisioned a governance model rooted in ‘Nagarik Devo Bhava’, the citizen is divine.

A Temple of Democracy for Viksit Bharat 2047

Pointing to the new building, PM Modi said, “This is not just a structure; it is the temple where we will script Ram Rajya for Viksit Bharat 2047.”

He linked the inauguration to the 75th anniversary of India’s Constitution, calling it ‘Amrit Varsh’, and paid tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Ravi Shankar Shukla for shaping Chhattisgarh’s identity.

The Prime Minister praised Speaker Raman Singh for his humility and dedication to democratic values. He described the Rs 324 crore Assembly complex as ‘Chhattisgarh’s soul in stone’.

The new complex, themed ‘Dharti Dhurandhar’, showcases rice-grain carvings, tribal art, and solar power systems. It also includes a 500-seat auditorium and digital infrastructure. PM Modi said the design represents both India’s ancient heritage and modern ambitions.

Later, he planted a sapling under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative. He was accompanied by Governor Raman Deka and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The gesture symbolised care for nature.

As the tricolour fluttered atop the dome, Chhattisgarh stepped into a new era. The state now stands rooted in Ram, guided by vision, and driven by the dream of Viksit Bharat 2047.
