Ghaziabad: An unthinkable occurrence recently came to light where a father raped his stepdaughter. Additionally, he abused her 14-year-old brother. The incident was exacerbated when her mother battered and tormented her daughter to conceal her husband’s crime rather than helping her daughter. As a result of facing immense suffering, the 11-year-old girl escaped from her home and went to Delhi. Subsequently, Delhi officials discovered her on a desolate road. Following a medical check, which determined that the girl had been raped, the officials arrested her stepfather and mother.
According to the authorities, the victim’s real father died a few years ago. After his death, the girl, her mother, and her two brothers returned to their ancestral village. After a while, they returned to Ghaziabad. Subsequently, the mother married a man and moved in with him. During this period, in addition to brutally raping his stepdaughter, the accused began forcing his wife into prostitution. He abused the victim’s brother when he opposed his actions.
When the girl told her mother about her stepfather’s wrongdoings, instead of supporting and protecting her, the woman began torturing her. The situation got worse when the mother started threatening her daughter. She blackmailed her if she exposed the crime to anyone. Upset and terrified by her mother and stepfather’s brutality, the girl fled from her Ghaziabad home and went to Delhi.
In a significant development, the Delhi Police filed an FIR on April 9, and the matter was then moved to the Loni Police. As a result, the victim’s mother and stepfather were arrested. A medical checkup was performed on the girl, and it was determined that she had been sexually abused. According to ACP Bhaskar Verma of Ankur Vihar, Ghaziabad, the victim has been sent to a children’s home in Delhi.
