Shri Siddhivinayak Temple held a special Puja and Aarti today to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, a military strike launched by the Government of India against terrorist camps in Pakistan.
The ceremony took place from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM and drew devotees, temple trustees, and officials.
The Indian Armed Forces carried out Operation Sindoor after terrorists killed innocent Indian tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on 22 April.
The temple trust organised the event to honour the bravery of the armed forces and seek divine blessings.
Acharya Pawan Tripathi, Treasurer of the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple Trust, addressed journalists. He praised the operation for punishing not only the terrorists but also those who supported them.
He said, “Through this Puja and Aarti, we prayed to Lord Vighnaharta for the destruction of terrorism, which is a threat to humanity.”
Tripathi also said the prayers sought strength for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He applauded PM Modi’s strong resolve in the fight against terrorism and wished for his continued courage.
The ceremony included prayers for the soldiers and their families involved in the operation.
Trustees Mahesh Mudliar, Bhaskar Shetty, and Gopal Dalvi were present during the event.
The temple premises echoed with chants and spiritual hymns as attendees expressed gratitude for the nation’s defence forces.
The event reflected public support for India’s strong stance against terrorism and highlighted faith in divine blessings for national security.
