Sonu Tyagi shared a candid 56-minute conversation with podcast host Niharika Pandey on Hash Brown Conversations.
Listeners are hailing the episode, now live, as one of 2026’s most honest industry discussions.
Award-winning writer, director, and producer Tyagi, founder of Approach Entertainment Group and Go Spiritual, spoke openly about Bollywood, advertising, PR, media, AI, and spirituality.
He began bluntly: “Success often comes down to luck. The film industry doesn’t run purely on talent. Many succeed due to timing and chance, not skill.”
His statement challenges common perceptions of fame in India’s entertainment sector.
Tyagi emphasised that hard work and talent alone do not guarantee success. Timing, connections, and opportunity often outweigh skill.
Many dedicated artists struggle for years, making awareness vital for new entrants to stay mentally strong.
On advertising and media, he criticised paid news, fake publicity, and superficial branding. He said, “Integrity is not just moral; it is the foundation for long-term sustainability”.
Tyagi urged agencies and brands to focus on authentic media relations, credible identity, and real digital strategies, particularly for youth seeking transparency.
Discussing AI, he warned of its growing role in music, voice recording, casting, scripting, advertising creativity, and production within five to ten years.
AI may reduce jobs, but humans will still play a crucial role with sensitivity and judgment.
Spirituality formed the conversation’s emotional core. Tyagi said, “Spirituality keeps people balanced and humane.
Humanity and spirituality are two sides of the same coin.” His personal and professional life reflects values of compassion, nonviolence, and ethical conduct.
Tyagi also shared Go Spiritual’s journey, founded conceptually in 2010 and formally launched in 2017.
The organisation promotes applied Indian spirituality, ethical living, and positive journalism.
Plans include a news magazine, app, web TV, and OTT content focused on inspiration and life improvement.
Currently, Tyagi co-produces the spiritual web series Two Great Masters, the youth-centric film Liberation, and the satirical comedy Camp Decent, featuring Brijendra Kala, Rajpal Yadav, Sara Khan, and Hemant Pandey.
Tyagi holds degrees in psychology, journalism, advertising management, and filmmaking.
He started his enterprises at 24 and contributed to over 40 Bollywood films. Approach Entertainment Group has earned multiple awards, including The Biz India Award and Young Gem Recognition.
