Chhattisgarh CM Releases Trailer Of ‘Godan’, India’s First Film Based On Gau Mata; Declares It Tax-Free

The trailer of Godan, the first film based on Gau Mata (Holy Mother Cow), was released on Thursday in Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai unveiled the trailer at a special programme held in the state capital. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) central member Ajit Mahapatra was also present on the occasion.

The film has been made to promote the protection and preservation of Gau Mata and is scheduled to be released in theatres on February 6. During the event, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai made a major announcement, declaring that Godan will be tax-free in Chhattisgarh.

With this decision, Chhattisgarh has become the first state in the country to exempt the film from entertainment tax. The Chief Minister said the film will play an important role in spreading awareness about the utility and significance of Gau Mata among the masses.

The film has a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 8 minutes and showcases the economic, social and religious importance of the cow. The earnings generated from the film will be utilised for the development and operation of gaushalas.

RSS central member Ajit Mahapatra said that a film highlighting the scientific and religious importance of Gau Mata should be watched by everyone so that people can understand her true value.

Film producer and director Vinod Chaudhary said that Gau seva is equivalent to serving God, and through this film, the younger generation will learn many aspects related to Gau Mata.

Gaushala Committee media in-charge Shantanu Shukla stated that ‘Gau Mata is the Rashtramata,’ and said the film will work towards delivering a positive message in society.
