Lucknow will witness a vibrant display of patriotism and national unity on India’s 77th Republic Day. A grand Tricolour rally will take place in the Sarojini Nagar Assembly constituency on January 26, 2026.
MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh will lead the event. Organisers expect wide public participation.
According to the organisers, the Sarojini Nagar Tricolour Yatra will begin at 10.30 am from the Chhath Puja site at the Sainik School Ground in Navin Gauri on Kanpur Road. From there, the rally will move through Scooter India Chauraha, take a U-turn, and conclude near the airport.
The organisers have planned the procession as a bike and car rally. Residents, youth groups, social workers and local volunteers are expected to participate in large numbers.
In a statement, Dr Rajeshwar Singh’s office said the rally seeks to strengthen patriotic sentiment. It also aims to promote national integration and connect the younger generation with the values enshrined in the Constitution.
Moreover, the organisers are presenting the event as a symbolic reaffirmation of commitment to a united and progressive India.
They added that vehicles decorated in the colours of the national flag, along with slogans celebrating the nation, will create a festive and inspiring atmosphere along the route.
To ensure smooth conduct, the organisers have coordinated closely with the local administration. As a result, authorities are planning traffic management and security arrangements to enable orderly movement and ensure public safety during the programme.
Officials said they aim to conduct the event peacefully while minimising inconvenience to commuters.
Meanwhile, the organisers have invited media organisations to cover the rally. They have requested print and electronic media outlets to deploy reporters and photographers to capture key moments of the Republic Day celebration.
Overall, the Sarojini Nagar Tricolour rally seeks to transform Republic Day celebrations into a broader public movement. The initiative focuses on civic participation and strengthening national consciousness.
