Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has donated one month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund as extensive flooding continues to disrupt lives across the state.

Choudhary has handed over the contribution and stressed the need to provide all possible assistance to families struggling with the disaster.

The Chief Minister has also visited affected locations to review relief operations and assess the situation on the ground.

Several political leaders have also contributed towards flood relief. BJP National President Nitin Nabin has donated three months’ salary to the relief fund, while the BJP Bihar unit has contributed Rs 51 lakh.

Choudhary thanked NDA leaders, MPs, MLAs and ministers who have contributed towards the relief effort.

The state administration continues to conduct rescue and relief operations in affected areas, with community kitchens supplying meals to displaced residents.

Authorities have also established relief camps and medical facilities to meet the immediate needs of flood-hit families.

Authorities have arranged temporary schools in some flood-hit areas to keep children’s education on track.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited Bihar with a central team to assess the flood damage.

Recent assessments show that floods have affected nearly 50 lakh people across 15 districts and damaged large areas of farmland and crops.

Relief agencies and government authorities remain focused on delivering food, healthcare and other essential support to families affected by the continuing floods.
