The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) celebrated its 100th year during its annual Vijayadashami event in Nagpur. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat led the ceremony, performing traditional rituals and delivering a speech. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the RSS on this historic milestone through X, praising its unwavering dedication to the nation.
In his message, PM Modi said, “RSS, dedicated to the service of the nation, is entering its 100th year today. My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all volunteers on this historic milestone. The resolve and dedication for Maa Bharati will inspire every generation and fill new energy in realizing ‘Developed India.’” He also encouraged everyone to listen to Mohan Bhagwat’s speech on this special occasion.
In his speech, Bhagwat highlighted important figures like Ahilyabai Holkar, Swami Dayanand Saraswati, and Birsa Munda. He praised Ahilyabai’s contributions to religion and culture and recognized the upcoming 200th birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand for his role in India’s resurgence. Bhagwat also honored Birsa Munda for his fight against foreign exploitation.
