RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Ji: Even Today In 2550th Year Of Bhagwan Mahavir Swami’s Nirvana, His Thoughts Are Relevant

On Monday 12 February 2024, Kalyanak Mahotsav was organized at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi to commemorate the 2550th Nirvana year of Bhagwan Mahavir Swami. In this program, devout saints and sadhvis of the entire Jain community were present. Rashtra Saint Paramparacharya Shri Pragyasagar Ji Muniraj, Fourth Pattacharya Shri Sunil Sagar Ji Muniraj, Pravartak Dr. Rajendra Muni Ji, Acharya Mahashraman Ji’s learned disciple Sadhvi Anima Shri Ji and Mahasadhvi Preeti Ratna Shri Ji attended the event too. On this occasion, Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat ji was honored as the main speaker.
While addressing the Kalyanak Mahotsav, Sarsanghchalak, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat ji expressed that we daily recite the Ekatmta Stotra which includes – the words of the saints from Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Geeta, Jaingranth, Buddhist Tripitaka and Guru Granth Sahib and hence, it is the best source of knowledge in Bharat.

He further said that everyone in the world wants the truth that gives eternal happiness but, the difference between the world and India is that the world stopped after searching it outside however, after searching outside Indians started searching the same within, and eventually reached the ultimate truth. With utmost ease and through this instance Dr. Mohan Bhagwat ji unfolded the complex life lesson where he explained that it is the eye of the beholder which changes the perception. He said that a glass of water might be half full for one, half empty for another, a third person might say that there is less water, and the fourth might say that the glass is big. The description differs from person to person but the object and the situation remain the same.
Dr. Mohan Bhagwat ji concluded by stating that Mahavir Swami ji’s thoughts of considering everyone as our own are relevant even today. Happiness is not in material things. One doesn’t have to live in isolation but rather live beyond individualism. Live in harmony with everyone follow non-violence, be patient don’t steal, and don’t desire other’s money. All these principles together form a way of life and hence are eternal.
