Rajnath Singh Hails PM Modi’s Leadership, Praises Successful Five-Nation Visit

On his 73rd birthday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent five-nation official visit, calling it a reflection of India’s growing international influence under Modi’s leadership.

“Under your able leadership, India is growing fast and getting stronger. Your recent 5-nation official visit is a testimony to India’s rising clout and stature,” Rajnath Singh posted on X (formerly Twitter), responding to PM Modi’s birthday greetings.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi extended warm wishes to the senior BJP leader. “Best wishes to Union Minister Shri Rajnath Singh Ji on his birthday. He’s distinguished himself for his hardworking nature and wisdom. His efforts to make India self-reliant in defence and strengthen our armed forces are commendable. Praying for his long and healthy life,” the Prime Minister said on X.

Top BJP leaders extend warm greetings

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in his message, praised Singh’s role in defence. “Heartfelt birthday wishes to the Union Defence Minister and senior BJP leader Shri @rajnathsingh ji. Under the leadership of Modi ji, you are doing commendable work in strengthening the country’s military power and promoting self-reliance in defence,” Shah wrote.

He added, “From the organisation to the government, you have successfully discharged all responsibilities, inspiring those who lead a social life. I pray to God for your excellent health and long life.”

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also conveyed their wishes on the occasion.

Born on July 10, 1951, in Bhabhuara village, Uttar Pradesh, Rajnath Singh began his political journey in 1974 and became an MLA in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly in 1977. He served as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2000.

At the national level, he held key portfolios in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government, including Surface Transport and Agriculture. He led the BJP twice as its President, from 2005 to 2009 and again from 2013 to 2014. Since 2019, he has served as India’s Defence Minister and has been Deputy Leader of the Lok Sabha since 2014.

The outpouring of Rajnath Singh birthday wishes from senior leaders reflects his stature as one of the most respected and seasoned politicians in Indian politics today.
