Rajeshwar Singh Slams Rashidi’s Remarks; Calls For Protest March In Defence Of Women’s Honour

Launching a scathing attack against Maulana Sajid Rashidi for his controversial remarks, Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh said that he will undertake a protest march, ‘Shakti ka Shankhanaad’ on August 1 at Bangla Bazar Crossing in Lucknow.

Rashidi’s derogatory remarks against Samajwadi Party MP and Former CM Akhilesh Yadav’s wife, Dimple Yadav, sparked outrage across the political spectrum.

Despite being a political rival of the Samajwadi Party, Dr Singh, a BJP leader, took a principled stand to protect the honour of women.

“Silence is not enough in the face of insult; resistance is essential. Women’s power demands self-respect and honour,” Singh posted on X.

Singh Calls out Anti-Women Ideology

Calling ‘Nari Shakti’ the embodiment of India’s consciousness, Singh called out anti-women ideology that rejects women’s rights like education and employment.

“A woman is not an object, nor a prisoner, nor a slave, She is the embodiment of India’s consciousness, culture, and strength”, he said.

“Any ideology that deprives women of education, employment, and respect is anti-woman, anti-nation, and anti-civilisation!” he added.

Singh declared that India has no place for ‘burqa culture’ and asserted that the fight for women’s empowerment goes beyond the mullah’s filthy mindset.

“The struggle of maternal power is not limited to just one mullah’s filthy mindset or the insult of a saree; it will determine that India remains the ‘land of strength’ and that there is no place for ‘burqa culture’ here,” he further stated.

Dr Rajeshwar Singh urged citizens to join him in protesting the ‘Taliban-like mindset’ and raising their voice to protect women’s identity.

“The call of Sarojini Nagar: The maternal power of Sarojini Nagar is resisting this Taliban-like mindset, raising its voice to protect its identity, which is also a resolve to safeguard culture!” he said.
