PM Modi, UAE President Reaffirm Strategic Partnership In Phone Call

PM Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Wednesday reiterated their commitment to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the United Arab Emirates.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed the discussion in a statement issued on Thursday.

Leaders Review Bilateral Progress Across Sectors

Both leaders assessed the substantial progress made in bilateral cooperation across sectors. They emphasised expanding their collaboration further for the mutual benefit of the people of both nations.

“The two sides discussed ways to bolster ties, support sustainable development, and promote prosperity,” said the UAE President’s office. They also affirmed their shared vision of leveraging bilateral opportunities to ensure growth and stability.

UAE President Congratulates Modi on Historic Milestone

President Sheikh Mohamed congratulated PM Modi on becoming the second-longest-serving Prime Minister in India’s history and wished him continued success.

PM Modi expressed gratitude for the warm wishes and acknowledged the strong affection shared between the two countries.

During his June visit to Abu Dhabi, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Co-Existence. They emphasised the common values of harmony and tolerance shared by both nations.

Foreign Secretary Misri also held discussions with Ali Alnuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee of the UAE’s Federal National Council.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms and enhancing parliamentary cooperation.

High-Level Delegation Strengthens Bilateral Ties Under Operation Sindoor

Earlier, an all-party Indian delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde visited the UAE to strengthen ties under India’s Operation Sindoor initiative.

The Emirati leadership extended full solidarity with India, especially in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack.

UAE leaders, including Sheikh Nahyan and Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, conveyed their condolences and pledged continued cooperation in fighting terrorism.

They expressed support for India’s measured response during Operation Sindoor and acknowledged India’s efforts in combating cross-border threats.
