Up Minister Sanjay Nishad
Lok Sabha elections have stirred up a new alliance called “INDIA” by the opposition parties against the BJP. Meanwhile, unity within the NDA coalition, led by the BJP, has also come into the spotlight. Amidst this political scenario, an announcement from Sanjay Nishad, the leader of Nishad Party in Uttar Pradesh and a minister in Yogi Adityanath’s government, has created a stir in the state’s political corridors.
Sanjay Nishad has been making headlines in recent days. He first wrote letters to the central and state governments regarding the Fulan Devi incident. Now, in a tweet on Wednesday, he stated, “Nishad Party is ready to contest on 37 Lok Sabha seats. We will fight under our own symbol.” This announcement by Sanjay Nishad has caused a commotion in the state’s political circles, leading to various speculations.
In his tweet, the Nishad Party chief further wrote, “BJP should give us all the seats they lost in 2019; we will win them back. Nishad Party is ready to contest on 37 Lok Sabha seats. We will fight under our own symbol.” Sanjay Nishad’s statement comes at a time when the BJP has formed an alliance with the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, in recent days, several leaders from Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have also joined the BJP alliance.
According to political experts, after Om Prakash Rajbhar’s alliance with the BJP, there is pressure on seat-sharing arrangements for the Lok Sabha elections with the Nishad Party. Currently, three parties, BJP, SBSP, and Nishad Party, are part of the BJP-led alliance in the state. Earlier, during the NDA meeting in Delhi, a total of 38 parties were present, while the opposition alliance “INDIA” includes 26 parties.
