President Murmu, PM Modi & Leaders Extend Statehood Day Greetings To Himachal Pradesh

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended their heartfelt greetings to the people of Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of the state’s Statehood Day, lauding its traditions, culture and the valour of its residents while wishing them a golden future.

Himachal Pradesh celebrates its Statehood Day annually on January 25, marking the day in 1971 when it became the 18th state of the Indian Union.

The date commemorates the state’s journey from being formed as a Union Territory in 1956, its expansion in 1966, to attaining full statehood.

In a message posted on X, President Murmu described Himachal Pradesh as a land blessed with spiritual traditions and natural abundance.

Referring to the state as Devbhoomi and the Land of the Brave, she said its rich heritage and scenic beauty create a unique attraction.

Expressing confidence in the people of the state, the President said that the hardworking residents of Himachal Pradesh would continue to play an important role in nation-building and national security. She extended her best wishes for a golden future for all citizens.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his greetings, calling Himachal Pradesh a confluence of nature and culture.

In his post, he praised the talent and valour of its people and wished for their bright future and the continued prosperity of the Devbhoomi.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah wished for Himachal Pradesh to continue advancing on the path of development and prosperity, while Union Health Minister JP Nadda, who hails from the state, extended warm greetings and expressed hope for its steady progress and growth.

The messages reflected a shared sentiment of pride in Himachal Pradesh’s legacy and optimism for its future.
