The BJP faces heightened scrutiny in Madhya Pradesh after a video allegedly showing Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar’s son negotiating a ₹500 crore deal emerged. This follows another video from last week featuring Devendra Singh Tomar discussing deals totaling ₹139 crore. Mr. Tomar dismisses the video, stating, We should not waste time on fakes. The BJP rejects the videos, labeling them as Congress attempts to unsettle voters.
State BJP leader VD Sharma deems the video fake, accusing the Congress of lacking genuine issues. He claims ₹281 crore was seized during the 15 months of Congress rule, emphasizing an ongoing investigation. Mr. Tomar’s son registers a police case, asserting the video’s falsity.

In response, the Congress, facing corruption allegations in Chhattisgarh, demands an Enforcement Directorate probe. They call on PM Modi and CM Chouhan to break their silence. Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak presents the second video, alleging the BJP government’s association with a 50 per cent commission, reminiscent of the 40 per cent Sarkar jibe in Karnataka.
Despite Congress winning 135 seats in Karnataka, they demand clarification on the Devendra Singh Tomar video. Rahul Gandhi accuses the BJP of record corruption, declaring Madhya Pradesh as India’s corruption capital under BJP rule. He questions the lack of action from Modi, ED, CBI, and IT department, highlighting the urgency for investigations into Tomar’s son’s alleged financial dealings.
