According to reports, Union ministers have been urged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to actively take part in the massive outreach initiative known as the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which aims to draw attention to central projects.
Speaking at a Tuesday Union Council of Ministers meeting, the prime minister reportedly stated that the outreach initiative is a component of creating a “viksit Bharat” (developed India).
He instructed the ministers to concentrate on informing people about the numerous programs that have been created to assist different societal groups.
Government projects are being advertised via vehicles in about 18,000 metropolitan sites and 2.55 lakh gram panchayats. Various government projects, including the PM Svanidhi Yojana, the Ujjwala scheme, the rural housing scheme, and the Kisan Credit Card, are being branded on the IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) vans.
More than 200 mobile theater vans and more than 2,500 mobile performance vans will be deployed as part of the Yatra to serve the 2.55 lakh gram panchayats and clusters throughout all of the nation’s cities and towns.
With the Ministry of Agriculture serving as the nodal ministry for the rural campaign and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting leading the urban campaign, the outreach program has been conceptualized using a “whole-of-government approach”.

On November 15, the prime minister began the yatra at Khunti, Jharkhand. In celebration of the yatra’s beginning, he had flagged off five IEC vans that had been specifically built. Similar vans from other areas of the nation with sizable tribal populations were reported missing.
On January 25, 2024, the outreach effort to connect with recipients of the Center’s flagship programs in both rural and urban regions will come to an end.
