PM Narendra Modi To Inaugurate Noida International Airport Phase I Today

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of the Noida International Airport. The move signals a major expansion of air connectivity in the National Capital Region.

PM Modi will likely reach Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar at about 11:30 AM, where he will review the terminal infrastructure before formally opening the airport at noon. He will later address a public gathering, outlining the broader impact of the project.

On Friday, PM Modi shared visuals of the airport and said, “Big boost for NCR connectivity! Phase I of Noida International Airport at Jewar will be inaugurated tomorrow,” highlighting its importance for the region.

Officials said the project is fully prepared for operations, with all arrangements completed ahead of the inauguration.

Extensive security arrangements have been enforced for the event.

The venue and surrounding areas have been divided into multiple zones, with a significant deployment of police and paramilitary forces. Surveillance systems have also been strengthened to ensure safety.

To manage traffic during the programme, authorities have imposed restrictions on goods vehicles along major routes, including the Yamuna Expressway and Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, starting from 7 AM.

These curbs will likely remain in place for several hours, with heavy vehicles diverted to alternate routes.

Commuters have been advised to follow official advisories and avoid unnecessary travel on these corridors during the restricted period.

Separate guidelines have also been issued to ensure smooth movement and orderly participation for attendees at the inauguration and the public event.
