PM Narendra Modi To Address Four Rallies In West Bengal Targeting Tribal Seats

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address four major rallies in West Bengal on Sunday, concentrating on tribal-dominated constituencies as campaigning gathers pace for the forthcoming two-phase Assembly elections.

BJP sources say Prime Minister Narendra Modi will centre his speeches on the concerns of tribal communities and highlight what the party calls prolonged neglect of their demands under the All India Trinamool Congress government over the past 15 years.

PM Modi will also refer to the recent controversy over the alleged insult of President Droupadi Murmu during her visit to the state for an international seminar on the Santal community.

In addition, PM Modi will criticise the Trinamool Congress and other opposition parties for opposing the Women’s Reservation (Amendment) Bill, intensifying political exchanges in the state.

The Prime Minister will begin his campaign in Barjora at 11 AM, followed by rallies in Purulia at 12:45 PM, Jhargram at 2:45 PM, and Medinipur at 4:30 PM.

A political row has already intensified following the Prime Minister’s recent address to the nation, in which he expressed regret after the Women’s Reservation Bill failed to pass.

The All India Trinamool Congress criticised the speech, alleging it attempted to politicise women’s representation and deflect attention.

CPI(M) leader Mohammed Salim accused the Prime Minister of using the issue to mislead the public and deepen divisions.

The BJP’s West Bengal unit, however, maintained that the Prime Minister’s address clarified how opposition parties allegedly misrepresented the delimitation issue to block the legislation.

As campaigning intensifies, the BJP continues to rely on high-impact rallies and direct outreach to strengthen its position in the state.
