PM Modi, Top Leaders Extend Akshay Tritiya Greetings Across India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended warm greetings to citizens on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya, wishing happiness, prosperity, and good health for all.

In a message shared on social media platform X, PM Modi noted that the festival inspires people to follow the path of virtue, charity, and service, while expressing hope that it brings enduring blessings and success into everyone’s lives.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his greetings, praying to Goddess Lakshmi for joy and prosperity in every household, while highlighting the festival as a harmonious blend of nature and culture.

Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda conveyed similar wishes, expressing hope that the occasion brings good fortune and unending merit to all citizens.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also greeted the people, wishing for happiness, prosperity, and the fulfilment of noble aspirations across the state.

Akshay Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is an important Hindu festival observed on the third day of the bright fortnight of the month of Vaishakha.

The term ‘Akshay’ signifies something eternal and never diminishing, symbolising lasting wealth, fortune, and success.

People widely consider the festival an auspicious time to undertake charity, investments, and new beginnings, believing such actions bring lasting benefits.

Devotees mark the occasion with early morning rituals, including a sacred bath, often using water from the Ganga or sanctified water at home, symbolising purification of the body and mind.

Many also observe fasts during the day and conclude them with sattvic food after performing prayers, as celebrations across India reflect devotion, gratitude, and the pursuit of enduring prosperity.
