Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Varanasi on October 24 and Kedarnath on October 25. He will attend public engagements and review development projects during the visits.
His proposed programme includes an aerial demonstration by the Indian Air Force. He will also inspect infrastructure projects at the prominent Himalayan shrine.
The Prime Minister will reportedly begin his tour in Varanasi, which he represents in the Lok Sabha. He will then proceed to Kedarnath in Uttarakhand.
During his stay in Varanasi, PM Modi is likely to inaugurate a factory in the Sevapuri region. He may also participate in events linked to the city’s ongoing development.
The Indian Air Force has scheduled its ‘Wings Over Ganges’ aerial showcase above the Ganga at Namo Ghat. The event will take place on October 22, 24 and 25.
PM Modi is expected to witness the performance on October 25. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath may also attend the event.
Reports indicate that the programme could feature Rafale, Sukhoi and Tejas fighter jets. The Surya Kiran aerobatic team and the Sarang helicopter display team may also perform.
Adityanath recently visited the venue to examine preparations and instructed officials to ensure comprehensive security arrangements.
Varanasi police are also preparing to regulate VIP movement and handle the substantial crowds anticipated during the event.
On October 25, PM Modi is expected to visit Kedarnath and review the progress of the Kedarnath Corridor project.
The review is likely to cover ongoing construction and infrastructure improvements intended to enhance facilities for pilgrims visiting the Himalayan shrine.
The planned engagements will bring together development initiatives in Varanasi and an assessment of infrastructure projects designed to improve the pilgrimage experience in Uttarakhand.
