PM Modi Vows Retribution For Pahalgam Terror Attack, Says Culprits Will Be Hunted ‘To The Ends Of The Earth’

In his first remarks since the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday delivered a forceful condemnation, pledging that India will pursue those responsible ‘to the ends of the Earth’ and ensure they face retribution.

Addressing a massive gathering in Madhubani, Bihar, during National Panchayati Raj Day, the Prime Minister referred to the attack, which killed 26 civilians, many of them tourists, as ‘cowardly’ and deeply painful for the nation.

PM Modi called on the public to observe a two-minute silence in remembrance of the victims.

“From the soil of Bihar, I want to tell the world — India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their backers,” Prime Minister Modi declared.

“We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth. Terrorism will never break India’s spirit. Terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to ensure justice. The nation is united in this resolve. Everyone who believes in humanity is with us,” PM Modi further added.

Calling the attack an affront to the nation’s spirit, the Prime Minister said the entire country was mourning.

“The brutal killing of innocent citizens in Pahalgam has deeply saddened the country. From Kargil to Kanyakumari, the whole of India is grieving,” PM Modi further asserted.

PM Modi also highlighted the diverse backgrounds of the victims.

“In this terrorist attack, some lost their son, some lost their brothers, some lost their life partners. Some of the victims spoke Bangla, some spoke Kannada, some Marathi, Odia, Gujarati and Bihari. From Kargil to Kanyakumari, we are all grieving for them,” the Prime Minister remarked.

Additionally, PM Modi reaffirmed his government’s commitment to ensuring the culprits face justice.

“Those who carried out this terrorist attack and those who planned it will receive a punishment far greater than they can imagine. We will punish them,” Prime Minister Modi noted.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to international leaders and countries that have shown support for India following the attack. The Resistance Front – a Pakistan-based group linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba – carried out the attack.

In the wake of the attack, India has initiated a series of strong diplomatic and strategic measures, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, the expulsion of Pakistani military officials, the closure of the Attari-Wagah border, and the cancellation of SAARC visa privileges for Pakistani nationals.
