Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed Delhi BJP office on Monday, coinciding with Saptami Navratri, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva announced at a press conference on Sunday. The event marks a significant milestone for the party in the national capital.
Sachdeva recalled the party’s journey in Delhi and noted that BJP National President JP Nadda laid the foundation stone for the new office on June 9, 2023.
“After founding the BJP, the party opened its first office at Ajmeri Gate. Later, it functioned from Rakabganj Road and then for almost 35 years from 14 Pandit Pant Marg. Now, the party has its own building on Deendayal Upadhyay Marg. This journey has been full of challenges but also remarkable,” he said.
He described PM Modi’s participation in the inauguration as a ‘historic moment’ for the party. He also congratulated Delhi BJP workers for their dedication.
Sachdeva highlighted that under the leadership of PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and JP Nadda, the BJP set a strategic goal. The party aimed to establish offices in every state capital and district.
“As part of this mission, the party resolved long-pending land disputes for the Delhi state office and completed its construction. Today, all 14 organisational districts of Delhi have their own offices,” he added.
The inauguration will see the presence of PM Modi, JP Nadda, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, senior Delhi BJP leaders, Union Ministers, national office-bearers, MPs, MLAs, councillors, and thousands of party workers.
Delhi BJP Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor conducted the press briefing. State General Secretary and MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat and Media Relations Head Vikram Mittal joined him.
